I-Born and brought up in the southside of Glasgow, I can think of no better place to live. 

Glasgow suburbs mix unostentatious elegance with the downbeat and its south side strongly reflects this.

The countryside around the city is also particularly varied ranging  from pastoral Ayrshire, to the highland landscape of  Stirling and the shores of the Clyde all of which is superb subject matter for the landscape painter.
